what is the awakened life?
If you are part of our growing community of friends in Seedbed and New Room, the Awakened Life Course is where we gather to explore the heart and DNA of a life awakened to Jesus! Join us!
Starting Feb. 7th, the community is gathering for a four week learning experience of Scripture, prayer, conversation, and transformation; centered around the awakening and disciple-making mission of Jesus Christ.
The greatest impediment to our own awakening is we are pretty sure we are already awake. We don’t know what we do not know. There is so much more of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, waiting to be discovered, delighted in and demonstrated in and through our lives.
Awakening must begin and deepen in our own hearts. As goes our hearts so go our homes. As go our homes, so goes our churches. As go our churches, so goes our towns and cities.
As we gather together, we’ll cover the following subjects:
Week 1 — Waking up to the Word of God
Week 2 — Waking up to the Spirit of God
Week 3 — Waking up to the Body of Christ
Week 4 — Waking up to the Kingdom of God
The class will meet on Mondays at 6:30pm CT/ 7:30pm ET for a 90-minute gathering via Zoom.
Expect to be challenged, encouraged, equipped and empowered for the important season of faith ahead!

J.D. WALT, author of the Awakened Life and Sower-in-Chief for Seedbed, will serve as the host, lead teacher of the course, and guide during our “Word of God” week.
DAVID THOMAS, author of To Sow for a Great Awakening and Senior Advisor to New Room, will bring insights during our “Spirit of God” week.
CAROLYN MOORE, author of Supernatural and a beloved awakening voice, will offer deep encouragement during our “Kingdom of God” week.
MARK BENJAMIN, co-author of Discipleship Bands: A Practical Field Guide and Executive Director of New Room, will share insights about Banding during our “Body of Christ” week.
As well, DAN WILT, author of Receive the Holy Spirit and Vineyard worship leader, will serve as our Guide through the course and will lead us in times of worship.

What does it include?
- Four large group teaching sessions with breakout conversations (recorded and available on demand afterward)
- A four-part conversation between J. D. Walt and awakening leader, Dr. David Thomas.
- The Awakened Life book that includes four weeks of Daily Text-styled readings on two of the greatest awakening passages in all of the Bible (Ezekiel 37 and 47)
- Access to an (optional) private Facebook group for encouragement and ongoing conversation.

FAQs
While the course will work for individual participants, it would be optimal to work through the course in connection with others. Ideally, all the members of your group will register separately. This will allow us to ship a book to each person in a timely manner. In addition, it ensures that your participants have a my.seedbed.com Digital Hub account in which to receive videos, meeting recordings, and other supplemental bonus materials, as well as puts everyone in the queue for email updates.
If this isn’t feasible for one reason or another, we can work to find an alternate option for your group. Let me know if that’s the case.
The class will meet on Mondays at 6:30pm CT/ 7:30pm ET for a 90-minute gathering and panel discussion via Zoom. That’s the only scheduled time—everything else will be reading and review on your own time.

The course will be delivered online and consist of a combination of live and pre-recorded presentation elements as well as asynchronous online interactivity through a private Facebook group. The class will meet on Mondays at 6:30pm CT/ 7:30pm ET for a 90-minute gathering and panel discussion via Zoom.
As the course proceeds, course participants will read a common text of Scripture from two celebrated awakening passages: chapters 37 and 47 from the prophet Ezekiel. These readings are included in the course companion book, The Awakened Life, by J.D. Walt, which will be delivered by USPS or into your Digital Hub account at my.seedbed.com (depending on whether you order a physical or digital copy).
The course will be delivered online and consist of a combination of live and pre-recorded presentation elements as well as asynchronous online interactivity through a private Facebook group. The main structure will be the weekly 90-minute meeting on Mondays at 6:30pm CT/ 7:30pm ET. These meetings will be recording and shared afterward should you miss them or want to review them afterward. Facebook conversation will be ongoing and you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like there. Other than that, there will be short daily readings in The Awakened Life book and other supplemental bonus materials in your my.seedbed.com account to engage with as you’re able.

It will! We plan to offer the course a few times each year. We’re tentatively looking at a next offering in the spring of 2022.
All the course materials, including recordings of the Zoom meeting time will be made available to all registrants. You’ll miss the live interaction, but none of the content!
